Product Overview:
The flanged expansion butterfly valve provides automatic compensation for pipeline thermal expansion and contraction, facilitating installation and disassembly. It is ideal for industrial pipelines in petroleum, chemical, power, paper, water supply, and municipal construction sectors operating at temperatures below 120°C and nominal pressures up to 1.6MPa. It is designed for flow regulation and fluid shut-off.
Working Principle:
The flanged expansion butterfly valve is available in three types:
- A. Standard Type – Designed per expansion joint specifications. Optional limit bolts available upon request.
- B. Fixed-Limit Type – Allows expansion but includes a limit mechanism to prevent excessive movement, making it more versatile.
- C. Extended Type – Features a longer expansion joint to match user requirements. Ideal for pipeline retrofits where replacing valves without cutting existing pipeline connections is necessary. Optional limit mechanisms available upon request.
Key Features:
- Adjustable & Replaceable Sealing – Ensures reliable performance.
- Compact & Lightweight Design – Easy operation with quick opening/closing.
- Thermal Expansion Compensation – Prevents pipeline damage from temperature fluctuations while allowing easier valve maintenance and replacement.
Installation Precautions:
- The valve must be stored flat before installation; avoid impacts. Do not remove the support bracket during operation.
- The valve is shipped at its minimum length. Extend it to the installation length before fitting.
- If the pipeline length exceeds the valve installation length, adjust the pipeline spacing instead of forcibly stretching the valve.
- When used for temperature compensation, install support brackets at both ends to prevent overextension.
